T-Mobile, 3 Mobile say HTC Wildfire is coming soon

3 Mobile and T-Mobile have each joined Virgin Media in confirming that they will sell the HTC Wildfire. HTC previously revealed that its latest Android mobile phone would not be released until the third quarter of 2010, but T-Mobile has since said it will offer the handset from June 14th. It also announced that the smartphone will be available from just £20 per month with a 24-month contract, a deal which could come with 600 minutes, 500 texts and unlimited mobile internet usage, based on T-Mobile’s existing plans.

Meanwhile, 3 Mobile is remaining a little cagier about the release details of the HTC Wildfire, simply stating that it will be ranging the handset “soon”. Sylvia Chind, the network operator’s head of branded devices, said it will shortly be announcing prices and dates for the launch of the device.

Among the features which owners will be able to make use of on their HTC Wildfire are a five-megapixel camera and a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, while it will be powered by the new Android 2.1 operating system.
