BlackBerry Torch 9800 coming to Three Mobile UK

Three Mobile UK is the latest network to announce that it will be offering the new BlackBerry Torch 9800 SmartPhone. The BlackBerry Torch features a full touchscreen and slide out QWERTY keyboard, a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with flash, image stabilization and video recording, 4GB of memory, microSD card slot, High-resolution touch screen, 3.2” HVGA+ touch screen (480×360), WiFi and GPS. 3 Mobile makes new handsets free on the One Plan

The line-up of handsets available on 3 Mobile’s One Plan has been bolstered. The Sony Ericsson Zylo, plus Nokia’s 5230 and E63, have all been made available for free on 3 Mobile’s new One Plan. Announced at the start of July 2010, the deal gives consumers 2,000 cross-network minutes, 5,000 minutes of calls to other 3 Mobile customers, 5,000 texts and 1GB of data usage. All of this allowance is available for £25 per month on a 24-month contract, with the network operator describing the price plan as “the simplest, most competitive tariff ever offered in the UK”. iPhone 4 to Buy on Three & T-mobile Tomorrow

T-Mobile and Three will introduce the iPhone 4 to their network on July 30, leaving only Virgin still to announce the device.T-Mobile has announced via its Twitter witter page that it will be stocking Apple’s iPhone 4 from Friday 30 June and rival provider Three is also believed to have ear-marked the 30th as the network’s release day for the device too.Staff for both companies have been undertaking specialist training to meet Apple’s after-sales standards, in preparation for what is expected to be a high profile launch. Three is UK’s biggest 3G network and top for mobile broadband

In a survey conducted by YouGov of mobile broadband users, Three came out top by a large margin. The result reflects a huge investment in its network, which has exceeded 95% of the UK population for 3G/HSPA data speeds. Three also has around 35% of the UK mobile broadband market, with tariffs starting at £15 per month for 15GB of data. The network currently has more than 11,400 sites, which will grow to over 12,500 by the end of 2010. Read More…
Android-based ZTE Racer Appears On 3 UK

UK’s smallest independent mobile phone network 3 UK has launched the cheapest Android touchscreen mobile phone on the market, the Racer, a handset that comes courtesy of Chinese manufacturer ZTE. The phone, which is available on £13 per month contracts, is the first Android handset that will be available for less than £100 on PAYG. Cheaper touchscreen handsets are already on sale from Orange and T-Mobile but they all feature entry level operating systems like the Qualcomm Brew.ZTE, which already provides 3 UK with the F102 handset, hasn’t cut many corners with the Racer. Three Mobile has this morning announced that, like rival UK mobile broadband supplier O2, it will begin selling Apple’s iPhone 4 on June 24. Excited punters can begin signing up for the new smartphone on Tuesday, June 15.Apple bigwig Steve Jobs spoke about the company’s new flagship device last week at its Worldwide Developers Conference, saying the iPhone 4 will have a five-megapixel camera and a screen with four times the resolution of the current iPhone.
