3 announces it will offer the Nokia E7 phone

MOBILE OPERATOR Three has announced that it will have the slide-out keyboard Nokia E7 handset next year, somewhat later than expected in the UK. The Nokia E7 was seen at Nokia World with a prediction of a fourth quarter 2010 arrival and an estimated Eurozone retail price of €495 SIM-free. Now Three says that it will appear in “early 2011″ but has not revealed its pricing. Nokia wasn’t available for comment about why its E7 handset will be tipping up later than expected. Three Announces Completion Of 3G Network Upgrade

Three has completed the 3 year upgrade of its UK-wide 3G network and has also released some interesting facts to mark the occasion.According to the company, the expansion process has allow it to cover around 97 per cent of Britain’s population. The company announced the end of the upgrade by installing and connecting the 12,400th cellular site, The Inquirer reports. Three said that it took around 8.5 million man hours ,involving 3,300 engineers in order to finish the process, which also resulted in some 10,000 transmission cables and microwaves being upgraded in the past one year. The smallest of the mobile phone operators in the country, 3 UK, has launched a new pay-per-day mobile broadband offer for £2 a day. The tariff comes with a 500MB data quota per day, which is just as much as some other networks, like O2 or Orange offer for their smartphones on a monthly basis. Mobile operator Three is offering free access with no mobile internet data charges to a version of Facebook that’s lightweight and optimised for speed. The 0.facebook.com service will be free to access for Three subscribers for at least one full year, at the discretion of the mobile operator.
